Glass Cities
Hailing from the vibrant streets of Miami, Florida, Glass Cities are a dynamic three-piece alternative band that has been setting the music scene ablaze since their formation in 2023. Comprised of first generation immigrants by lead vocalist and guitarist Luis Salazar, bassist Sam Ross, and drummer Omar Gonzalez- the band follows an aesthetic resonating to Twenty One Pilots meets Foals and Paramore. Their statement is based on the current non-existence of genres; bending limits, borders, cultures and frequencies.
Also featured in playlist such as Indie Rock Discovery, H&M Playlist 2023, Sunbeam Music, like I am in a movie, Indie Rock Radar, Mood Booster, Indie Good Vibes, indie alt pop, chaotic indie rock energy, Shoegaze / Dreampop / Electro/ EDM, Indie/Pop -Happy & Chill, Pop Hits 2023, Indie Folk and more.
Been actively participating in the South-Florida alt music scene with events as Breaking Sound’s Miami back in July, supported The Ries Brothers 2023 Summer Tour for both Sandford and Boca Raton and had performed at venues such as Propaganda, Poorhouse, LauderAle, Undergrounds, Sandbox, Savage Labs, Lincoln’s beard, Naomi’s Garden, Trail Theater and many Backroom Sessions bills- sharing stage with local artist like Hadee, JLG, Medisin, Veta Ceti, The Band Baron, Plastic Eyes, Telekon, AWAL, The Chans, Metromover, Beach Mirage and many more.
The trio is just a few weeks from releasing a new single “Alive”. The single sound feels colorful, thick and personal all around. Sounds from artists like Foals, Twenty One Pilots, Coldplay, and Glass Animals- are behind the inspiration for this danceable tune. Their lyrics touch upon themes of realization, independence, society and a “Wake up Call” to one self.
