DESCRIPTION:Acclaimed Latin GRAMMY nominated pianist\, composer\, and educator Martin Bejerano has performed/recorded with numerous jazz luminaries\, including his 20 year association with GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award-winning drummer Roy Haynes\, Christian McBride Band\, Dave Holland\, Pat Metheny\, Ignacio Berroa\, Ron Carter\, Dafnis Prieto\, Russell Malone\,\, Luciana Souza\, Jonathan Kreisberg\, and Roxana Amed\, performing at nearly all of the major jazz clubs\, festivals and venues around the world\, as well as performing on the Late Show with David Letterman. He is featured on over 25 recordings\, including his most recent Latin GRAMMY nominated album #CubanAmerican\, the GRAMMY nominated Fountain of Youth with the Roy Haynes Quartet\, and Roxana Amed’s Latin GRAMMY nominated albums Ontology and Unánime. \nAn award-winning bandleader\, Martin’s trio has performed at such notable venues as Symphony Space\, Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola at Lincoln Center\, The Jazz Gallery\, Barquisimeto Jazz Festival\, El Hatillo Jazz Festival\, St. Petersburg Jazz Festival\, Festival Miami\, and Lucerne Piano Off-Stage Festival. He has been twice-awarded the prestigious “New Jazz Works” grant from Chamber Music America in 2010 and 2017\, as well as composition grants and commissions from the Dranoff International 2 Piano Foundation\, Sonos Chamber Orchestra (New York City)\, and a Provost Research Award grant from the University of Miami\, where he is currently a tenured faculty member. \nAn artist that enjoys working in multiple genres\, Martin has also worked with multiple Grammy and Tony award-winning arranger/orchestrator Alex Lacamoire (Hamilton\, In the Heights\, Dear Evan Hansen) on numerous projects\, including Linn Manuel Miranda’s musical “Bring it On”\, as musical director/pianist for Tony-nominated composer Gary William Friedman\, and on numerous other musical theatre projects in New York City. DESCRIPTION:Slippery When Wet – The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute was formed in 2003 by Jason Morey after answering many inquiries of “Are you Jon Bon Jovi?”. Most notably comedian Dave Chappelle invited Jason backstage following one of his comedy shows thinking that he was the New Jersey icon. It was then that Jason knew he had to take advantage of the resemblance. \nIt’s a good thing that Jason grew up on some of the best classic rock albums such as “Slippery When Wet” and “New Jersey”. Not to mention that he was also playing a few Bon Jovi songs in his widely successful tribute to the halcyon days of metal “The White Leppard Crue”. \nSlippery When Wet – The Ultimate Bon Jovi Tribute has taken exact live arrangements from Bon Jovi’s 2000’s Crush tour \, 2002’s Bounce tour \, 2005’s Have a Nice Day tour\, 2008’s Lost Highway tour and 2010’s The Circle tour to form what Jason refers to as an “Arena- Club Show”. With further explanation Jason thinks that “Slippery When Wet has the power to turn a 800-2000 capacity club into a 20\,000 seat arena for 2 1/2 hours”. \nBon Jovi’s career spans 35+ years and over 130 million albums sold worldwide. Another milestone that the band has achieved is that they have tracked 14 Billboard top ten singles of which 8 of those went straight to number 1. In 2018 Bon Jovi was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.
